MEET THE OWNERS
The story of Glenoak Cottages is, at its heart, a love story.
Ben and Meg have known one another since childhood. Their mothers — both talented artists and lifelong best friends — ensured their paths crossed often. Despite a nine-year age gap, Meg fondly remembers time spent at Ben’s family property, Riversdale. Ben was the cool (and very cute) guitarist, gentle and kind, while Meg was a little girl with wide eyes and a quiet admiration for the boy who would one day become so much more.
Years later, their shared values, complementary skills and love of the land would bring them together again — laying the foundation not only for a life together, but for Glenoak Cottages itself.
Meg brings a wealth of experience in events and boutique accommodation, having spent seven years managing and relaunching a well-known vineyard, wedding and accommodation venue in Lovedale, Hunter Valley. When the property was purchased in 2021, she was entrusted with breathing new life into it and building an entirely new brand from the ground up.
Known for pouring her heart and soul into her passions, Meg’s dedication played a key role in its success.
At the same time, Ben — a business owner and financial planner — was transforming his own shed into boutique accommodation. When they reconnected, he knew Meg’s vision and experience would be invaluable.
Today, Ben oversees the business operations and financial stewardship of Glenoak, while Meg leads the creative direction and guest experience. Together, they form a balanced and passionate partnership.
Between them, they share three beautiful children — Ben’s sons Jack and Tom, and their daughter Ronnie, who joined their family in August 2025.
Ben and Meg share a deep love for Glenoak and the land it rests upon. They believe in quality over quantity, in meaningful experiences over grand gestures, and in creating moments that feel personal, warm, professional and unforgettable — whether it’s a peaceful country stay or an intimate elopement beneath the trees.
